I bought the $80 set recently from eBay - it is real carbon fiber pieces in each section of the roundel. When I received it, the steering wheel emblem was messed up - one of the CF sections had moved before they clear-coated it. Emailed the seller and he replaced it immediately. Then went on a roadtrip a few weeks later and while driving down the highway at about 85mph, the emblem on the hood separated from the base - gone!! Once again emailed the seller (who is in Taiwan), told him what happened, and he mailed me two brand new hood emblems. I have had the new one on for a few months now and it is holding strong.

I believe the difference in the $40 and $80 ones is that the $40 ones are not real CF, but I might be wrong.

I think you're right. I'm disappointed that the real carbon fiber ones fell off so easily. Is it just adhesive holding it? Did you get the wheel caps too?

Yes, it is just adhesive, but I think I just got a defective one - like I said, the replacement on is holding strong. And yes, I got the center caps too.

I can post some pics later if you want.

That would be much appreciated. How did you put on remove/put on the wheel caps?

Here are the two emblems i'm looking at.

Can somebody explain the price difference? could the first (cheaper) one be like fake carbon fiber or something? I'm really unfamiliar with this whole thing. Any advice/suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi.The second link there is ALL carbon fibre. Which means that the outer ring is carbon fibre as well.. Not just the inner part as in the first link..Tha ALL carbon emblems are a bit more expensive then the others.. There could off course be a quality issue.I bought my not full carbon emblem from euro-body-kits and the quality there was great.. The emblem made the car look way better..The others could still be good enough..
