Bluetooth not working

I recently purchased a 2005 X5 4.4 with bluetooth. The car has the standard radio, and not the nav system. The bluetooth was working fine until I inadvertently drained the battery with a phone charger that had been left in the cigarette lighter plug, not having driven for 10 days. I jump started the car, and have been driving it for the past three days without a problem. However, the bluetooth feature has not come back on. If I click the "tel" button on the radio, nothing happens. Note that I use an iPhone, and it shows that it is paired with the BMW. It keeps searching for the bluetooth. Can anyone help? Thanks.
