Noobie
I am considering a 2006 4.4 i certified with 19k miles , It is Imola red with premium, sport package, and cold weather, I drive approx 35 k per year, how reliable is the 2006 4.4 and is the maintenance that expensive, also is their any trans issues with the six speed auto or any other "sore" spots with the 4.4i, also they are asking 33k , still under maintenace and original warranty until 2010 and then the CPO till 2012 or 100k which I will hit the 100K first, any body have over 100k and what issues have you had, also is the gas mileage better with the 4.4i valvetronic the previous 4.4,also is Bluetooth standard for this year ? Thanks for any info you can provide. |

With that kind of mileage, I would think again about a x5 4.4. Your running costs will be higher (gas mileage, maintenance, etc)
Don't like the MDX? |

I'm averaging 17.5 mpg (mixed driving) in my 2006 4.4 and my commute is 44mi each day.
If you drive 35k mi per year you may want to consider something other than a SUV / SAV for your commuter (unless of course you are subsidized or reimbursed for gas). |

I am reimbursed for gas, my thoughts on getting rid of the MDX are the following
1. I would be under warranty until 100k 2. I am averaging about the same in gas mileage as the 4.4 3. I had a 2003 x5 3.0 for approx 82 k miles, not one problem but I do remember paying 1800 for front and rear brakes, that was shocking to say the least |
