Where to put anti-squeal paste on brake pads exactly?

Did a brake job,put anti-squeal paste and brake still squeal like crazy. Any ideas? Post some picture where exactly to put anti-squeal paste? My brake pads didn't have shims.

You put anti squeal paste/brake caliper lube on the back side of the brake pads where they would make contact with the caliper and where the ears of the brake pad come into contact with the caliper bracket. See Below...

Is that the Axxis ULT Ceramic pad? If so, it isn't known as a quiet pad, but rather one that will have noise. The quiet Axxis pad is the Deluxe.

How were the rotors shipped? Any protective coating on the friction surface that you had to remove? What is the surface finish like on a PBR rotor?

Did you install the anti-vibration clips properly?

Did you clean up the slides on the calipers where they contact the pads?

I wouldn't put high temperature grease on the back of the pad, just on the ears where they contact the caliper. If you mean the goop that sets, it is designed for the back of the pad (works as an insulator) but doesn't go on the ears.

Have you done many brake jobs previously?

Interesting article,
I had front pads replaced about 3 thousand km ago with oem pads. When driving for 15 minutes (plus) and in particular in stop n go traffic the front pads start to squeal. Very embarrassing, especially as I know I did the right thing and had genuine BMW replacement pads put on.
Do I have issues with the discs or can I simply overcome this god awfull noise with anti squeal paste/brake caliper lube, as per the above ??
My indy assured me that as well as the rear pads/discs the front discs were also fine.

It had pretective film,i used brake cleaner to clean it of. Rotors looked fine to me. It is my first brake job on BMW,i did on my Lexus before. I didn't clean caliper,as it was pretty clean. It is PBR cerramic prake pads, and they loud and squeal :-( Should i return rotors and buy new set?

If the rotor has a cross-hatch surface finish, it should be fine. PBR makes Axxis pads. The Axxis ceramic pad has a reputation for squealing. You could buy OEM pads and see if that fixes it. I would do that before replacing the rotors.

The noise is set off by the interaction of the rotor and the pad, it is essentially a vibation. If the rotor wasn't replaced the friction surface may be glazed (polished). If so, new rotors would help. It is theoretically possible to turn them on a lathe or deglaze them with a stone, but I never bothered, it was easier in a home shop to just replace them. The high temperature grease on the ears of the pads is required, and stops the pad from vibrating. In some cases you can quiet them down by applying a liquid or spray to the back of the pads (where they touch the piston and the caliper), and that liquid sets up into a film that acts as an insulator. The trouble is that it squeezes out over time, and the noise tends to come back.

All this assumes that the anti-squeal clips are installed properly, as they also help stop the pad from vibating and thus squealing.
