So i might pay Bay Diagnostics a visit

Found out my rear bumper is bent and the exhaust is uneven on the left as well. all the while I'm getting pretty bad milage aprox. 11.7 mpg and range of aprox 125. service advisor said there may be a "kink" in the exhaust and BMW of manhattan want close to $1,600 to get it done. i may be going from NYC to Pittsburgh in a few weeks so i wanted to get it fixed, do you think the exhaust affects my fuel economy? i went to an indie shop today in queens, they thought the exhaust is fine and the guy was very stubborn on the idea that ONLY the bumper was uneven and wanted $200 for it. I've read some great reviews about bay diagnostics in brooklyn, input anyone please? what should i do??
