The last sequence on 5th gear drifting is cool - the sound is great too.

Does anyone remember seeing a video of a guy in a black 4.8is coming out of a sharp turn in a parking lot and lifting the front inside wheel? Looks like he just flatfooted it with wheels locked after he gets it rolling, the inside wheel came off the ground 4-8 inches. Might have been in a video about exhaust upgrades.

That video belongs on this thread.

BMW Magazine had a article in March-April issue of 2004 where Hans Stuck was shown driving a Le Mans blue X5 4.8is. He did a review in this article. If someone has that magazine, please post the article. I am also sure there is a video somewhere of that review by Hans Stuck.

BMW X5 on the Ring - Car News - Car and Driver

"From his website:
He finishes the season with a win in the Petit Le Mans co-driving with Boris Said and Bill Auberlen. He is honoured to set a record time at the Nordschleife driving the 750 horsepower, V12-powered BMW X5 Le Mans. With a target of less than eight minutes he covers the historic 20.8 kilometre circuit in 7:49.92, reaching 311 km/h on the straight."
and... this is amazing sounding...

Yup- google suggested, then I put the quotes around it (above) and forgot to add in the citation when I was formatting the links/previewing. Sorry- but kudos for always knowing everything about the 4.8is related stuff
