Ok.

If you don't mind, please post up with DMM results if/when you have the opportunity to sweep the connector. A picture of the part description sticker on the LCM case could be helpful too. Good luck man.

Still having one issue. My yellow "running lights" stay on after I wired it up like you showed us. But your pics show them off. What did I miss?

Your running lights are should be on when your angel eyes are on.

Your angel eyes should be on when your running lights are on.

My pictures aren't showing the amber lights well, but they are lit.

Help!! The wires that were supplied with headlights dont reach anything to tap into. Maybe US specs are different , but when try to connect the red wire (power source wire with hook) to the battery cable it wont even reach. Is there another area under the hood perhaps besides the one on the drivers side? plus the "red wire with white stripe" is also really short. So am i right in assuming that i would have to extend these wires? or am i doing something wrong?

p.s. i have a 2001 4.4i with factory HID's.

Pics?

From your post, it seems likely you'll have to solder/heatshrink to extend wire(s) to reach the landing locations as noted in the first post.

Use properly rated and sized automotive wire.

Hey, now that you posted on how to install angel eyes, what about how to install LED tail lights without causing fires in the cabin?

Oh bummer man.

Well, the taillights not making great contact with the housing (from the start) surely doesn't help... http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ing-fixed.html

Checking the sockets back there for corrosion couldn't hurt. If all else fails, just carry this.... RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.6is FIRE-EXTINGUISHER POWDER

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
JB I'm bumping this from the dead but I'm running the trigger wire into the passenger footwell so I can tap the LCM for factory operation of my angel eyes, where the hell is the pass through in the firewall though? I only see the black, covered ECU box on the right side? Am I missing something
