Oil leak

Hi all, I have noticed an oil leak on the LHS (driver) side of the engine (3.0I), just below the inlet manifold (maybe 5 or 6 centimeters (2 in.) below the front side of the manifold). This is not the cam cover gasket (I checked). What could it be?

Weasel will become famous soon enough
There are 3 things in that area that can leak oil...
1: the oil hose that goes from the front side of the head to the oil filter housing. #15
2: The oil filter housing gasket (where filter housing meets block) #6
3: The crankcase vent valve (especially the bottom hose #4) Cyclone valve

Sorry, this post is old and I didn't update it.
The leak came from the OS bottom hose, so Waesel was right on option 3!
See picture below and notice that with such a failure, these engines are quite good character as it still ran fine except a rough idle!

Yeah, those were for the OP who has the 3.0i. There are many gaskets/areas that can leak on the 4.4i, and there are 2 different 4.4i engines available depending on model year etc.

How about an oil leak dripping from the drain plug cover? The drain plug door cover thing is bent down. I dont know how this happened. Maybe driving over deep snow, or perhaps the Mr. Lube pros dont know what they are doing.

I hope my drain plug threads are not stripped.

When I leave the car in the garage over night, by morning there is a new oil stain about 10 centimeter in diameter on the floor.

Also right in the center of the underside of the engine there are drips of oil collecting.
