One thing I can't stand is when I close my either of the front doors w/ the windows down, I can hear the glass rattle. I've tried putting grease on certain points to see if transferred to the glass, and siliconed where it seemed too...still rattles and sounds cheap

At the stealership. Probably not the best place, but it is only a few miles from my house and when a window is stuck half down (or half up to the optimistic) it made sense. I think I paid just over $100 for each.

Wow, sounds like the stealership ones don't have any more luck that what some have reported w/ the ebay versions.

I just purchased an X5 that came from California (this is important) the driver's side actuator had gone out 3 times. This vehicle became a lemon buy back. California law is anti car company (or any corporation for that matter) and makes it so easy for a consumer to ask and get a buy back for anything. Because of these 3 actuators, I got a hell of a deal on this X5. I just ensure my wife and any guest in the car don't slam the doors!!!!
