More like torture time - because of the continuing storms the car washes have been closed.

Hopefully today they will open up, but even then the car will get dirty right away on the ride home

make sure warranty covers the pano roof , they always go wrong and very expensive

Congrats on the X! Kudos to you on the ebay buy. I'm nervous about buying anything used, even from local dealers, where I can actually go see and test drive the car in person...let alone just seeing pictures and descriptions of it on a computer!

It was definitely an interesting experience, and this one was a bit misrepresented (paint condition, needs warranty work) but otherwise it was a great experience.

Couple of new pics:

These are the sort of angles they avoid when taking pics for eBay - should be a fun full day of detailing come spring...

Nice! I saw your post earlier and was gonna say something but I didn't want to rain on your parade. I tried to buy a silver 4.8 on ebay and according to the pics and description was great. Then was about to take delivery locally and it was a disappointment. That's when I said no more ebay for buying quality cars for me.

I see you changed your headlights already ... looks sweet!

Good luck and cya around the board.

Thanks for the welcome! I haven't changed my headlights, I think the bright sun may make them look 'clear'

Yea it is frustrating to clearly ask about any blemishes or scratches inside and out and have them reply 'it's perfect' only to show up to this - last I checked 'perfect' does not include swirled paint, faded trim, 2 door dings, gunked up headlight glass, repaired leather, and curbed wheels...

I can take care of all that stuff as it is relatively minor, and on a 35k mile SUV should probably be expected, but still, just be upfront about it and keep your customers happy ya know? Maybe I am being picky though as the rest of the car is really perfect.

Wow! That's weird .. never seen that before. Looks just like clear HLs.

Nah, you're not being picky. Everyone would want to know those things. Just count yourself lucky that it wasn't worse. Enjoy the X!
See above.

Yea I think if it was any worse I would have refused the car.

It was definitely frustrating, but overall I am still happy with the purchase.

On a side note - I had a couple of questions about your X.

First, where did you get those wheels? I found some reps on ebay that looked just like those, I think they are originally M5 wheels?

Second, when you recalibrated the suspension to the lower ride height, have you ever had any issues with it bottoming out or rubbing?

Third, did you buy a running board 'kit' that included the front fender flares? If so part number for the kit? I am looking to go that route soon

Thanks much!
