I dont understand your question, are you saying you want the high beams on when the xenons come on? I would advise against that you would be blinding on coming traffic.

This function can be added by changing the coding of the LCM.

Funny, I just noticed tonight that my 2006 does the same thing. I thought I had a problem, which is why I went searching here. When you push the stalk forward to turn on the high beams, only the outer bulbs react. They get brighter but the inboard high beams do not illuminate. They do illuminate when the stalk is pulled back. How does one change the coding on the LCM. What is the LCM?

Why do you prefer the lower halogen light output as your high beam (inner lights) rather than the brighter and whiter HID Bi-Xenon? |

I wish I had the equipment so I could flash my highbeams w/o the foglights shutting off. I don't like the HID's turning on and off quickly.

I guess I don't intend to have halogen instead of HID bi-xenon. I didn't realize one was HID and the other ordinary halogen. The performance of the high beams on the road has always been very good.
Another issue that I'm having is that my drivers side low beam is malfunctioning intermittently. I'm getting a "check low beam" warning. Is this a sign of the bulb failing or the LCM? |

That would only be practical if you were ALWAYS driving out in the middle of nowhere w/n oncoming traffic. If HID's are not enough for you to properly see the road you should seriously reconsider driving IMO no offense or disrespect to you but it pisses me off driving around and being constantly blinded by people with high beams on.

I absolutely agree, I hate it as well. I could get on my soapbox all day long about people who don't pay attention to their highbeams, not taking their free right or waiting for all 3 lanes of of an intersection to be open instead of turning into the lane closest to them, doing 55 in a 65 and eyef'ing me in the rearview instead of just moving to the right, etc.
That's the main reason why I'd like to be able change this in my LKM so I can flash my highbeams at these idiots while not taking the chance of ruining the HID's in my foglights. I admittedly ride my motorcycle w/ my highbeams always on because people simply don't look, but I've got 1 headlight on a vehicle that is like 1/5th the size of an X.
