I definitely would go in on a group buy, looks fairly oem and wont have to get a bezel with a screen that fits in the middle

Maybe I am just synical but the rendering looks a little silly. I want to like it very much because the only reason I have not upgraded the oem radio is because I want something that fits perfect(no bezel). But the features and size and plug and play ability make it sound awesome!

Even if there is not an option for a group buy 600$ doesn't seem unreasonable.

but does it work with DSP? Also, I'm assuming you lose OBC functionality? If I don't have to replace my amp and find a place for my stock radio, I would most certainly be in.

I'm interested in this unit too. I just look the instruction on Aftermarket navigation for BMW,Navigation for BMW 5 series,Navigation for BMW X3,X5. it indeed work with DSP. And I find this company offer 3-Year Warranty

I dunno. Somehow it looks like a cartoon and reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where George had Mr. Kruger redrawn into a photograph.

I have a feeling that it won't interface to the computer functions though, which would be the only problem I can see.

I've sent them a question about that, and asked if they have a user manual they can send me.
