I think the new OEM ones are the run flat version and they are more expensive.

That's correct; that's why I said fundamentally.
I'm saying that if you compare the cost of the Turanza's to the Diamaris to a tire that was chosen for an ultra high performance SUV (the X5 M) the Dueler is the cheapest of all 3. Yes the X5 M uses that tire in its run flat variant, but I'm sure that once those wear out, the owner's will all switch to non-run flats, just like they all seem to do, and when they do so they will more than likely pick the same tire, and be amazed that it is cheaper than a Diamaris or a Turanza (OE E53 tires). Wow, what a run-on sentence! |
