I use Avant Browser, so your guys' Russian gets converted to English w/a few clicks of the mouse...so cool

Idler pulley. My pick up is doing that and my buddies 05 4.4 is doing the same. My vote is the Pulley.

Of the ones I've replaced, I never had anything sticky on there from the belts, but sometimes the squeeling would happen from changing cooling system parts and the glycol from the coolant sticking to the belt, pulleys, etc. That's why I use dish soap to check to see if the noise goes away...if it does, hosing down the same area w/ dishsoap all over it will give a quick washing/degreasing before installing the new belt.

Also, doing the dishsoap will help him narrow down if it's the belt, but if it still squeels after that, then I'd start leaning towards tensioner. Sometimes you can actually see a tensioner failing though because the belt will almost flop around, looking like it's hopping on the tensioner because it's gone weak and/or broken parts of the spring/seal internally.

If I have time I am gonna tape it for fun.
It's an AcDelco branded one.
It doesn't really bother me now,since I know what it is,but will keep an eye on it and if it gets worse..will ditch the AcDelco and go OE.

Извини за тупой вопрос - что такое pulley ?! я как понимаю эти трещины на ремне возникают из за холодной погоды. в принципе логично. Кстати по этот звук я тоже спрашивал ,, то что троит,, но я как понимаю это все таже проблема из за ремня ,,, тут еще написали , что мотор так устроин, так работает. или нет ?
узнал про починку ремня, сказали что будет стоить в районе 80 баков,включая замены

I know! My kids actually learned quite a good amount of it when they were in Moscow for almost a year. My best friend is Slovak, then I'd be able to talk to his parents as well Of course, I still need to learn Italian/Spanish for my local friends...I've definately got a to-do list in regards to learning other languages! In the meantime, whenever my friends start talking in their native languages, I yell at them to turn on the subtitles or speak English

did u fix yours ?
if its idler pulley ,, i guess it is very cheap part by itself , around $20 ..,, what about labor ?
