Would you have any other pics of those carbon grilles though?? Where'd you get them?

IMO, the proper way to seal the housing back up with butyl is to wrap a bead in its entirety around the black portion of the housing; pop it in the oven for a couple mins to get it good and soft (uniformly warm) then push the clear lens into the bead....that way you get a seal with complete coverage. I don't think XCUSM5 could seal it that way though as it looks like he cut the lens to open the housing (rather than the bit of the black lip we spoke about previously).

XCUSM5, Just be careful come summer because while butyl will hold decently at room temperature, its a different story at elevated temps...
so, it might not hold up somewhere in Bahrain? or Moscow?... I would think twice in my personal situation, before doing it... besides, if I go with the white corners, i will not be able to bring the car back to the US... darn, i like clear corners!!!

A bit of a spring time refresher for the old girl's rear. After this batch, only the motor/trans mounts remain....every other joint/arm bushing and link suspension wise will have been replaced (Did the front end along with the rear subframe bushings, upper control arms and rear wishbones in the fall). Gotta love the new-car feeling!!

Must list looked very similar to yours. I'm just shy of 101K . Rear Uppers were done awhile back.

However, everything checks out except for the rear shocks, in which one is seeping a lil bit.

Automatic transmission fluid change at 112,000 - $320 at dealership. A little late, factory service manual says every 100,000. Lot of highway miles, though.

Yes, yes! It's a lifetime fluid, meaning, when your tranny finally does grenade from NOT servicing it....you change the fluid with the rest of the transmission instead

You know, I keep seeing this particular "they say" here - but the service and warranty booklet for my 2006 4.4i, on page 3 if you want to check me, says pretty clearly "Automatic Transmission Service: Change ATF every 100,000 miles."

Asked to have it done, no problem, no discussion. I did kind of mention that I'd been reviewing the manual and was catching up on all my open maintenance requirements, but I don't get the impression that my dealership was unfamiliar with doing that work. So, in light of what "they say", I guess you can take my experience for whatever you think it's worth.
