Newer member here. So got a laptop with DIS / INPA plus cables. Today, cleared passenger side airbag fault code. No more warning on my dash. Going to start on replacing my coolant expansion tank since the one in the car is cracked. May fit my power steering hoses with worm gear fittings to stop a slow leak.

Did an oil change with 0W-40 today. Way too hot and was not enjoyable.

did you look up what was the airbag code in the first place? was it just a glitch or was it pointing to something more sinister?

What's up Term?! Good morning to you. I did. It was the good'ole faulty seat mat from what I remember. I'll check the error logs. I have a more serious problem now. Replaced my expansion tank yesterday and had the 5 idling while I was adding coolant and distilled water. When I got in and drove off, poof!!!! Blue smoke and a faint smell of oil in the cab. Immediately pulled over and opened my expansion tank to see if there was oil in the coolant. Didn't see anything to be concerned about. Thank god my CCVs came in the mail earlier this week. I'll replace them this weekend. Maybe I'll do a valve cover gaskets replacement as well.

Yeah. My parents told my there's a heat wave out there right now. I do miss the North East though. Long overdue for a visit to Wildwood or PT. Pleasant.

A little bit of shopping... trans & motor mounts, plugs, intake boot/elbow, vanos repair kit w/ all new seals & corresponding hardwware.... Oh, and all this is in addition to the projector fogs, morimoto h3c kit 4300k, and updated xB Angel eye drivers. Goddam it's going to be a busy week!

Hey another Winnipeger!! Looks like you've got lots to do. Where do you generally get your parts from? I had a pretty good arrangement back home, but we just moved here and I'm trying to figure out the best places to get stuff from.

Cheers,

Kevin

It's about friggin time!! What area of the city you in? What year/model/color is your X?

I usually just grab all my stuff from ECS, and get them to ship it up to Menkes parcel in ND, just across the Gretna border. Pm me and I'll help ya out!

@TMV: Yes yes! I think it looks/sounds a lot worse than it actually is. The "what is done" list is definitely longer than the "what is left" list. The trans mount has me a bit worried as I haven't even looked at the thing to see what I'm up against....

@RB: I got mine finally! Time to roll out the JD, a power supply, some picks and let the tweaking begin....later this week! . The system box seemed like a good idea at the time but the idiot who built it didn't think long term....it seems to have taken it's toll on my cargo capacity; 2 duffel bags and my trunk is full!
