When it's not an M, why label it as if it is? BMW owners know it is fake and most of non BMW owners don't know what the M means.

One of the favorite things about my x is that the previous owner de-badged. I like the sticker other than the printing. It's like a computer that has a "includes office" sticker across the entire palm rest then the owner leaves it on.

It’s more about the look than what the sticker represents.

I like how the plain bumper is now decorated with nice carbon fiber colors.

Gives it a much needed splash of flair.

The 4.6is is not a true m but it certainly is well endowed with many m parts.

Got a BMW Scanner 1.4.0 reader fresh from China today. Used it to finally code off my DRLs with a simple check box! $19 shipped beats $150 at the stealership any day!

Anyone else messed with PA Soft/BWM Scanner 1.4? Wondering what else I am missing.

Saw a post about adjusting the temp gauge to be more accurate. Need to dig into that how-to...have been paranoid lately after some issues with my coolant expansion tank. It looked a bit more complicated then the DRL check box on/off.

What M parts are on the 4.6.?
The X5is is the illegitimate child of the m division. Kinda like Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible. So if you have to ask, the proper channel will disavow all knowledge.

That said, you are right since none of the parts that makes up an IS has ever been certified as part of a M vehicle. But that doesn't mean it wasn't worked or tweaked by the M division. Heck even the Alpina folks were involved in the engine design.

I guess it's safe to say the design of the vehicle was graced by the M people?

Or you like to challenge that as well?

We all mod our X5s the way we like, let's leave it at that.
