I finally got to drive my X5 4.6 again after two days of gnarly food poisoning keeping me home. I never thought I'd be so happy to commute to work again.

Oh, and I got to test drive an Estoril Blue 4.6 today, and that's all I'll say

Today I had to lock it with the lock cylinder because my key died.

Does anyone know where I can send my key to have the battery replaced? I tried to DIY it with my spare key fob when I first got the X, it did not go well.

This guy, has done work for me. https://www.bmwgm5.com/

if you know anyone with a BMW with the same key you can check yours on their car/their key on your car to make sure its the battery/key and not the module

Thanks.

If I hook it up to INPA will it give me an error for the module if it's bad?

A another clean one!
Mine went out for a drive for a State safety and emission inspection. Back home for a exterior detail and a quick duck back under the cover as snow/sleet/rain is on it way tonight. 1,200 miles last year! No summer vacations trips as we took the minivan as the watch dog came with us to see Charleston, SC

Probably not, or at least not with my experience with the GM5 module on my Z4. Did use the 2 sets of keys to figure out it was for sure a bad key as they were both the diamond style

The co-pilot is adorable Stephen!

Yep we saw 65 last night, hopefully I can get my "mid winter" detail accomplished, and although its only been 5k miles its been about a year so time to do my Rotella T6 and OE filter treatment on my engine - the X just runs better with fresh lubrication!
