I finally got my auto open hatch springs from the seller on ebay.

They work as advertised however unfortunately I have learned my shocks are too weak to lift the hatch all the way up by themselves (they still hold fine) so the hatch only lifts about halfway up, which STILL even in itself is pretty damn cool until I can buy some new shocks. Totally worth $30 bucks

Also, for the record, my shocks are OEM and I was easily able to unscrew the ends to put the springs in.

I thought about getting them... I didn't understand if you hit the button and it just opens full ...
If cruising on Highway if a kid or something accidentally hit the hatch button in the car will the hatch fly open?

If I remember correctly, someone mentioned in the long thread about these springs specifically that hitting the button at speed doesn't work, however i'm not sure if that's true or not.

In any case, I don't ever expect to have kids playing around in or around my center console area while i'm driving

Nice I'll have to try it guess, bcz auto open hatch would be great.
I only ask because maybe iv hit the button before driving then I notice when I drive and have to get out to close the hatch.
Well Ill add that to the list to buy soon.
Wana get ccfl angels for the headlights first.
