DISA was a two minute repair, easy. Part was a little expensive. I did manage to get mine for $178 plus $12 for overnight shipping from dealership in Nebraska. My damaged one was falling to pieces (literally). Least expensive place I found. Stealership here in MO wanted $30 OVER what BMW set the price!! Hate that place. They also charge $10 a qt for BMW oil. NE charges $5.90

let me know if you find all kinds of carbon crusted on it and inside the engine. Mine seemed a little too dirty considering I only use premium Shell which isn't supposed to do this. So we are told.

Unfortunately for my wallet, my baby went in for a bunch of work today. Leaky brake lines, CV joint, power steering pump, control arms. All were fine in the spring, but broke for Xmas <waaaahhh> But, I luv my X5 and at 100k miles it's time for some TLC.

Had the CCV with all associated hoses and the drivers side window switch panel replaced yesterday. So now I can go to the drive thru without embarassment. Now lets see if I still have to add a quart of oil every 800 miles...

New front lower ball joints and urethane thrust bushings. With 50 series tires, I don't feed any difference in road noise with the stiffer bushings. The steering/braking does feel tighter now.
