I would change it for sure. I've had 3 e38s (same transmission) and always had good results. It's those that wait until they have issues with shifting that suffer in the end usually. I use valvoline maxlife, it's better than what is in it now & a decade further along in development.

I changed the spark plugs, engine oil and transfer case oil, used GT1 to proformed adaptation procedure. Next week I will change the differential oil and valve cover gasket

which oil you used? oem or other brands?

I used the BMW brand for my x5. I don't think there are any substitute.

Is GT1 the fluid for the T-Case? I was about to look that up somewhere..

gt1 is the software used to reset the adaptations of t-case after oil change

No, it is the diagnostic software for BMW.

Is this a must after swapping Tcase fluid? (software) What fluid did you use in the tcase?

I'd heard of Progman, but not GT1...Ill look it up.
