Nice job baby! I can only imagine on the motor mounts. Did you have to drop the subframe to get to the passenger one? Or am I just talking out of my A$$?

Fixed panoramic sun roof.

I put new led halo bulbs in my headlights. Bright white light now instead of old yellow light.
Did a five minute fix on my sunroof and then re-progammed it. Working fine now without the rear section venting and jamming open. The front glass still vents, but the rear section now stays closed permanently. There is no need to spend heaps of cash to repair, just to have the rear section able to vent. My fix cost me absolutely nothing except a few minutes of my time. The Stealerships never offer this option. They possibly dont even know about it.
I have a 2004 X5 Sport 4,4i with 85000 Kms on the speedo. Just over 50000 miles, and I was quoted over $11000 to replace the sunroof. You think MBWs are expensive in USA, you will get a shock in Australia. Top of the range model is $199,990.00 registered on the road here. Nearly half of that is Government taxes. Cheaper X5s are about $163,000, and you dont get too many extras for that money.

Oh yeah! Only one side at a time!! As Slick mentioned the driver side was the hardest as i ended up taking off the knuckle with the axle still attached to gain better access. With the metal skid plate off it wasn't so bad taking the axle out. Loosened passenger side a couple turns and then carefully lowered the driver side about 1"-1.5" and that was just enough room to get to the mount nut and bolts and wiggle the mount out. Passenger side I didn't have to remove the axle but, same process as drivers. Engine vibration is all gone and she actually has a little more pep in her go!!

Nice job J. Yea driver side is a huge bitch. We kept the axle on, but dropped the subframe a lot.

Yeah, I recall you mentioning that and when I was underneath searching for easy access thinking "there's no effin way I'm going to be able to get the mount out w/o removing the axle. Slick's mechanic must have small hands!" lol!

Once I removed the axle I gained an extra 3-4" of clearance and the rest was text book.

Glad it's done and got an alignment this morning and she's riding good!

Drove it.
Sunroof cover cloth came off.
Drove to friends body shop to get glue.
Put my pano roof cover cloth back on.
Drove it. Drove it some more.
Got more fuel.
Picked up the rest of my tools from the renovations.
Went to a detailer. Not enough time to get a full detail. Got a $40 car wash.
