Please don't revive all the dead threads. He no longer owned that X5.

Apologies if I violated any forum rules. I was just looking around for fender flares and came across this thread.

Haha I don't believe it is a written rule, but rather forum etiquette

To me, if the thread was dropped passed 5th page, it's old. If it hasn't been reply to for a year, it's dead.

Ok so if I understand correctly, bumping a thread that's over a year old is bad forum etiquette.
So we probaly should unsticky the bottom two sticky's as they have not been replied to for several years. I always thought a lot could be learned from old post. In fact when I'm searching for an answer, I sometimes pull up old post. And sometimes bumping these old post will bring something up again that no one has seen or thought of. Example here would be the "coding what not forget" thread. Or "cool hidden features on our X". Some newbs don't even know about these threads, yet if I bumped one of these older threads, you guys would think I have bad manners? If this is the way of the forum, why does the server hold on to post over a year old? If they did not, IMO, the forum would not be as usfull, hence pulling up old threads. |

I've bumped a few of my old threads on alignment/summer compound tires and brakes, to give long term wear results.
