new spark plugs, old ones had oil on them

if there is oil from under the spark plug than you have a problem! the cylinder head has rings that disposes of oil once the combustion has happened and the head is the way down. it shouldnt throw any oil up into the spark plug

hold on if there is residue on top of the spark plug where coils are than that is the VCG - valve cover gasket.

If your sparkplugs have oil on them it could be something called your oil seperator , a knauz bmw master tech was telling me something about that.

got it at 67k two and a half years ago..

thus far, intermediate levers, new tranny, various oil changes, brakes--and now spark plugs.. not much more-- havent had any real problems..

i'm very meticulous about the maintenance of my car.. and i feel like i'm approaching the time when i need to really kick it into high gear for preventative maint

besides gaskets deff get em done! i would strongly advise you on changing the whole cooling system! i mean i know you should be studying and all of that but pick up a wrench and do some of this stuff yourself, spare some money towards books or ganja whatever you kids do these days! but seriously cooling system is one of the weaker points like achilies heel. timing belt injectors 02 sensors it would hurt. and another thing it all depends on how long youd like to keep your x for.

for the driving aspect put it on the lift and see whats going out soon bushings etc.. tighten that suspension up and itll feel brand new

good point. i would love to do these things myself. i'm a bit intimidated though ( i am clearly not an engineering student) lol. i have looked through the DIYs so many times...

me neither but when i do it it gives me a piece of mind so to speak, that i know that i'm carefully taking it apart and putting it back together.
