Chrome Grills

I've been looking at the chrome grills mod as this looks quick and cheep & makes a nice difference to the front of the car.
Seems there are three types:

1.) Stick on chrome plastic pieces cut to size - there seems to be a debate over whether these last or not.
2.) Chrome replacement grills (OEM) - complete unit(s) which swap out with the existing grills. Cost a small fortune from the stealer.
3.) Replacement grills (non OEM) - same as 2.) but typically found on fleabay. Ones I`ve got my eye on are by bavarian_motorwerks but read one thread where they didn't fit a pre-facelift model very well (slightly too small)

Anyone else fitted the ones from bavarian_motorwerks to a pre-facelift model - Do they fit properly?
