Auto headlight error (LED flashing)
I have adaptive Bi-Xenon . Had the LED on the light switch auto position flashing in the past when one light was out. Seemed to happen only when car got very, very wet such as driving for a couple of hours in rain. Thought I had fixed it as I assumed it was one of the igniters and it has been fine for 6 months or so. It got very wet during Irene as it was left outside (my GF has a lot to answer for ) and I now have flashing LED on light switch indicating some failure but headlight remains on.After searching here, I read the LCM can be a problem as it gets wet from a blocked sunroof drain. I pulled LCM today and it is bone dry and there is zero evidence of pass side lower A pillar being wet or drain being clogged. Anyone got any ideas short of a trip to dealer and hooking up to diagnostics. Thanks David Last edited by nrgetic99; 09-06-2011 at 06:31 PM. |

There could be a couple of reasons, from the front axle sensor to the headlight itself. It would be easier if you could find someone to hook up the car to a INPA or DIS laptop and see what errors are stored.

Late response but I also have a 2006 4.8is with the same problem. My headlights operate fine but the greeen LED continues to flash. My stepper motor is dead. Its not an expensive part, especially if you get them online, but you have to remove your front bumper to access the control unit under the headlight. Good luck.
