Charles, should you be doing any kind of maintenance, let alone repairs on your vehicle? I mean you've messed up the simple maintenance part by putting oil in the coolant, and now your saying you have 'the standard 3.0L v6'.. Its a straight 6 mate.

I don't wish to sound mean, but do yourself (and your motor) a favour and get someone who knows what they're doing to do it for you.

Absolutely. There's only one way to learn. Stick with it mate. If I could offer some advice. Do some research on your vehicle. Buy the Bentley Manual and read......

At the end of the day though the only way to learn is to try. Only difference is most of us "learn" on shit cars not X5's but hey

Well the X5 is from 04 so its not like its something new. We sometimes buy cars in pairs but we got rid of the other one a year or two back, we needed to purge the driveway.
