At the time I bought it from Mavis, it was mostly due to tire rack not having my size. It like they sold out. As soon as I purchased them from Mavis, they called me from tire rack asking if i was still interested. Go figure. The price difference was negligible.

To update, they tires have held up well. Still great shape, still nothing negative to say about them.

In the winter I will be driving in snow roughly 10-15 times a year.

Thank you guys!
I have them on my 4.8is. Quiet, soft, wide shoulders. Not summer tires, remember.

I wish I could put more miles on them. 4.8is is in service again, like yours, again!

I'm getting the "thing" done through warranty (if you remember).

Papa13, I have them on my X5 and they are great. I'm in Northern California, no problems at all. Super quiet, nice grip etc. I read in the forum that people had issues with them and some loved them. I'm one of them who would buy them over and over again.

Figured I would update.

GO GET THESE TIRES.

Snowed today 3 inches in NYC. Compacted and loose snow are no problem, Car digs in like a beast and goes. I have to admit that the all wheel drive is helping a lot, but much better than my old Blizzak tires on a rear wheel drive car. Why. Because these stop as if they are dedicated snow tires. I am on my stock 20's too. Taking a turn, they grip, floor it in a turn, the car pulls through. I can get ABS to kick in only if I try. And even at that point is stops violently.

We need to get more snow. Like a foot. I need to decide if I'm keeping the snow setup.

Thanks for the update. That is the type of information I was looking for. I think I am definitely going to get a set of these to replace my Bridgestones.

I've got them on my X5, they are quiet as can be and have great tread life. I can't report on snow as I've not had the chance to drive it in the white stuff, down here in Carolina.
