This popped up recently in Houston.

https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d...300994074.html

Looks clean but a hell of an ask for it.

New E53 X5 owner here! 2004 X5 3.0i 6-speed manual in Alpine White. Acquired a few weeks ago with 140k miles. I feel like I overpaid by a few thousand, but between the E91 and E61 prices spiking, the E53 was just a *bit* heavier and *bit* sluggish around the corners. One non-functioning key, e-brake loose, steering position sensor codes, and poor power steering (bad pump, bad fluid?). No oil leaks, bushings tight, CV boots in good condition, and all door handles and electronics work.

Welcome!

Door handles and windows working. That's half the battle right there.

At 140k keep an eye out for fuel pump and alternator failure.

Wishing you many miles of smiles!

Brad

@roaringpanda congrats on the acquisition. Jealous you were able to find a 6 speed. I've put 10k> on my 2001 5 speed since I bought it, and although it definitely isn't 'quick' it's an overall great daily driver.

Check out the recent BaT auction if you want to recalibrate your pricing expectations.
