when you first get in your car and turn the ignition on ( noticeable only at night ) have you noticed the Angel eyes flickering even though the lights themselves are not turned on, i imagine the car must pulse a voltage to the different systems to check they are ok.

with the LEDs i have, they very noticeably flicker until the car is started

nice upgrade.
I want them too but I have a hard time deciding on which kit to buy. I love the new oem angel eye lighting, it looks equivalent to hid. I was going to go with a set of hid angel eyes but I noticed the rings do not light evenly (one is brighter than the other) so I figured the uniformity of led bulbs is the way to go but theres such a huge selection of brands out there. I just want bright white and long lasting. Anyone?

No flickering of the WeissLicht LEDs upon turning on the car as you are reporting (just verified it in my garage).

I'm looking to upgrade my corona ring bulbs. I have a 2006 E53 with the bi-xenon headlight assembly. All of these bulbs listed seem to show the same for all 2000-2006. I know 2006 was the first year for the bi-xenon headlights and I'm not even sure if all 2006 MY had them. Is it the same bulbs whether you have bi-xenon headlights or not?
I'm also interested in a recommendation for halo bulbs that are under $100. I'm sure I don't want the cheapest, but would rather not spend $170 for two bulbs.

Bi-Xenon was available from the 2004 model year facelift. Both of my '04's have them. Starting then, if you had Xenon, you had bi-xenon. The angel eye bulbs are the same across the facelift E53's.

These are the ones on my current '04.

Thanks for the info. So do post-facelift E53's use different angel eye bulbs than pre-facelift? If so, what do I need to look for? Many of the items I have looked at say they are for 200-2006, but it sounds like that may not be the case.

Pre-facelift did not have angel eyes.
