So after reading this thread i got all excited about doing coding on my car.
Looked easy - install software, plug the cable into the car, launch the program and automagically all the stuff is going to work. So i bought INPA with K+DCAN cable, installed the software on my VM WinXP SP3 instance, followed online instructions on setting up USB interface on COM1 blah blah... plugged in the cable into the car, turned the key to pos2, launched INPA and nothing...tried NCSEXPERT - same result. I don't think my computer is connecting to the car... Either dots besides ignition or battery do not turn black in INPA and if i try using NCSEXPERT the software does not read my VO... any idea what i might be missing?
