Exclamation Switch Blade Flip Key

Hey Guys,

You're all going to hate me - I know its kind of a repost, however I couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

I just purchased the flip switch blade conversion kit:

NeW BMW 3 5 7 Serie X3 X5 E46 E38 E39 E60 E61 E53 E83 REMOTE KEY CONVERSION KIT | eBay

And have got it all cut and fitted beautifully - Am finding however that the key wont start the car - Now I have searched, and experimented - this is obviously due to the EWS transponder, which appears that it is just too far from the ignition barrel now with the new key enclosure (when i take the guts out, place it closer, and crank with the key it works..

Question is, what can I do about this? - the transponder is built onto the circuit board, and I have good electronic skills - I would however like to know if anyone has attempted removing the transponder before, and will it operate like that? - the older ones I know had a seperate chip?

The eBay seller is recommending purchasing a new transponder chip - which he claims will rectify all the issues - This however in australia is not as easy as it seems (i don't have a stealer nearby - and they aren't real keen on DIY things like this)

Any ideas at all? - anything please
