He said light above radio volume. I had a few too. No worries.

Bit of light-hearted ribbing me thinks from Slick due to your multiple posts electricalservX5 - no malice I'm sure. I wish I have had a few but it's 11am Monday morning in Sydney!

Yes was referring to radio light on left side of radio/nav system. Going to do OBC test (once I get the thing started!) and see what we get.

If I need a new battery, I can get a new 800CCA battery delivered and installed at my place for $285 with a 3 year warranty. I know that is probably a bit expensive compared to the US, but we get shafted big time over here. Is it any wonder online sales from US is massive in Oz...

Anyway, thanks for the replies and will post up what I am getting from the OBC test soon.

$300. Thats not that bad. A new OE one costs that much. I can't imagine what an OE costs in Oz. Yea we know you guys get the royal shaft on part prices.

This is confusing. The word 'warranty' appears on this thread twice. Once from the OP about a new battery he will purchase and once from your post directly above. Who's talking about warranty?

As for what car Slick has, why not check your own profile page? He answered your question from today when you asked him way back in March of this year.

As for the OP, check to see if your driver's side mirror light is working. If not, I predict ignition switch.

Ok elecX5, you need to stop you drunken stupor. I'll attribute your name calling to you being a dumbass. My x is clearly in my sig by the way. And who is talking about what warranty? You know what, don't bother explaining. Every thread you post in, I will ignore. There must be an ignore internet prick option somewhere.

There is, in fact. In your control panel options. Look for the link on the left side and add whomever you wish.

First happened a few days ago - unlocked the car, jumped in and went to crank it over and it died. Zero lights inside, but had 1 headlight on!

Anyway wouldn't crank at all so called the roadside service company and they connected up their battery jumpstarter and started perfectly. He tested the battery and it had 92% charge after about a minute of running. Also did a load test and passed fine. Had him baffled...

Anyway, no issues for the past 5 days since, then same thing happened today - dead as a doornail.

Any suggestions? Could it be the battery, even though it tested fine, or could it be an electrical gremlin lurking somewhere? Seems strange to be fine one minute, dead the next, then fine again (for a while) the next...

Had anyone had a similar issue and if so, what was the fix?? What other areas other than the battery should I be looking at?

Many thanks
Simon
All these symptoms indicate bad alternator or bad battery. Do the check suggested by SlickGT1. You will then know? It's not that hard!
