I installed them with the tails, no flickering while running.

Like I said, they work awesome, besides the startup strobing sequence, but doesn't affect them in normal driving operation. Check the pins on your harness, I'm guessing they switched around taillight wiring over the 7 years of production, thats what happened to me.

Let me know how you do, you just need a really small flat blade screwdriver to release the pins from the harness. Obviously do it on your cars wiring harness, the harness for the LED tails is siliconed to be watertight
Adaptive brake lights definitely started in 2003. It's time for me to get new tails too, but not sure if I could tolerate the flicker you're mentioning.

I have the opposite of Lemans, no flickering while on and running (i have the lightwerkz capacitors), but on startup they flash on and off like flashers for about 3 seconds.

Its cold monitoring and I have to get that coded off so they stop doing that, I'm not one to tolerate stuff like that either, if I had to watch it each time it would probably annoy me more! haha

I really hate bumping older threads but I figured it was wise instead of starting my own. I just got a set of the "Sonar" LED tails. It comes prewired with the rear fogs already installed. Am I correct in my assumption that these will not work at all unless further modification is done? Or will this come on with the running lights? If they will not work I may just toss a jumper wire in and have quad reverse lights lol.

they wont work unless further mods are done, currently the solution is to tap into the TCM (trailer control module) to the rear fog lights and run a pin from a European fog light switch to the LCM at the front of the car.

However, there have been discussions for the guys that don't have the TCM (don't have factory tow hitch installed like me) to try to find the wiring diagram for rear fogs because there should be a factory connector somewhere in the spare tire area or at least a factory harness that is not used that should be the connections for the rear fogs.

Search pnoyako85's thread about when he installed a 15w HID kit in his rear fogs we have a discussion going on there. SlickGT1 has bought the european headlight switch so it is coming along, just like most of us on these boards life gets in the way and my mods and experimentation are sometimes months in the making.

i had posted somewhere the pinout for the rear fog lights recently in reference that the pins could be used to control something else and now can't find my own post... The rear fogs are coming to the rear of the car and controlled by the LCM with the help of the TCM, which is an extention module to the LCM...

Now, I can't remember in which thread it was and the search is of no help... If I find it, I will post a link...
