Maybe it will be different on the 4.8 but it sucks on the 3.0
Did you dyno before and after? The best solution for the E46's tends to be an AFE intake, Shark injector, and full exhaust. I would love to do the same on the 4.8. I may be more interested in them come summer, but for the moment I cannot justify $5k for headers, Supersprint or not.

Wilco! I'm glad to see there is so much interest in these cars. I never thought I'd see the day that people, myself included, were making SUV's more fun/sporty.

I didn't a before but after was a disappointing 191hp with ideal weather.
I went with Dinan because the car was still under factory warranty at the time. It's got the stock exhaust on it but the shop that installed it said that the ZHP exhaust sytem would be ok. I'm going to put a full Corsa exhaust on it one of these days and see how it eperforms after that...
We're still debating on whether to start modding the 4.8....

What year is it? 330i sedan or coupe? I'll have to give it some thought. The Corsa system sounds great on the E36's or e46's. Just thinking out loud...the corsa rear sounds like a good idea along with more free flowing cats (200cel should do) and headers. I'll poke around and see what I can come up with. Active Autowerk makes (more) reasonably priced headers than Supersprint. Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in.

What would you like to get out of the 4.8? What areas do you think need improvement?

Cheers,
Ricky

No it fine... I'm always up for new ideas

It's a 2005 330I seadan with the ZHP option... We've kinda given up trying to get anymore HP out of it without FI. The exhaust will be the last thing I do to it NA. Someday we're going to put an ESS stage 2 SC on it

We have a Corsa on our 135i and it sounds awaesome.. That also has AR design catless down pipes and agency power mid Pipes, a different intercoler , charge pipe, blowoff valve and a juice box. It puts out 405 HP at the rear wheels.

To be honest, we really like the X5 the way it is... The problem is that we can't just leave it alone... we have to mod every BMW we get LOL.
We do a lot of traveling with it and will be towing with it too. We just had the trans replaced and I had to replace all of the air bags in the suspension and replace the compressor.
I think we'd at least like to put a tune on it... I'm interested to hear what you come up with on that...

Been busy with the X5. The clear bra was replaced, radar/laser installed, trailer brake wired up, buffed, and some PDR done. Since it came back, I've installed a new MAF, the PCV repair kit from BMW, aux input, first aid kit, and today I finished the first coat of the Zymol Vintage glaze.

Pics for now... The outside picture with the white GLK in the background is pre-wax, post-buff/clear bra. The last picture (in the wash bay) is after the first coat of the wax. Gets to sit overnight before the second coat.
