Thank goodness Monday is here at last. Some of my parts have arrived at last! The AFE stage II is in, the Passport 9500ci, Bimmian LED bulbs, navigation manual, rear Stoptech brake pads, and the Inpelle leather floor mats. Pictures are attached. I am amazed at the quality. I am never buying a set of aftermarket carpet mats for any vehicle ever again. The Inpelle leather mats are by far the way to go.

If any of you want them, the X5 currently has a set of black OEM rubber mats. No trunk liner, but the four main mats are in great shape from the look of things.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
leather floor mats?

they look really nice, but what about when its pouring rain and you have puddles on your floor mats? do they smell like wet cows?

I'm under the impression that leather is for seats, dashboards, doorcards, etc, but never saw leather floor mats.

Wow....those leather floor mats look awesome...but do seem to be more practical to a smaller demographic of owners.

If I lived in a more arid environment that had very few rainy/snowy/slushy days...but since I don't...I'd better stick with my OE rubber mats for the next few months.

Keep us informed as to how well they hold up. Expensive shoes have leather soles/wooden heels...so I assume that the tanning/liming/bucking process for these floor mats take in consideration the kind of abuse they can be subjected to.

18" Blizzaks on the 4.8is for me. Lost a bunch of unsprung weight over the steamroller summer setup. Feels quicker in every gear!

I bet it makes a huge difference. Our engines do need all the help we can give considering how little air there is up here. What width are you running?

I'm interested to see just how the floor mats stand up to every day use. I hope the stand up to what Inpelle claims. Worst case is I have to go buy some of my usual carpets and use the leather mats in the summer. I'm a bit of a clean freak though, so I don't see them being an issue.... You can quote me on that when I come back on here complaining about them in a weeks time.

255/55/18. Running 235/60 on the 4.8i, which is super narrow for a 5K plus car, but should be a tank once the weather hits.

Don't forget to report on the dyno results. Wish I could join for comparison purposes!

Congrats on the 4.8!

I REALLY like those mats. Please keep us updated on how they wear! Those are the perfect mat I need to replace the molded BMW ones for the summer. From what is posted on their website, they seem to be well constructed....and for a reasonable price as well!

well, orthodox Jews will not be able to use those mats, i think it says somewhere in torah or Talmud, do not walk on the skin of animals that thou killeth (or something to that effect)... or, is it only on the Saturdays?

Nice mats!!!
