That's awesome, several of us here (myself included) who have no navigation but have DSP have been trying to find a reasonable work around on the DSP system so we can install an aftermarket navigation system. Did you do the install yourself, can you provide a few details?

It pairs well with the iphone5 I and works well with the adapter for the phone as well. I called the company after I received the unit about a anti glare screen protector but they do not make one. I'm sure one can be improvised from a tablet though.

I put my Dynavin Android in two weeks ago and so far so good. I don't find the screen glare to be that bad, but I did order both a glossy and a matte finish screen protector that will come next week and I will report back on my findings.
Overall been very happy with the unit. Be prepared to spend some time tweaking the Android side to your liking, but once you have it the way you want it, you'll be pleased. I recommend going with a reputable dealer too (I went with Jeff from J&T). It is worth having the support for firmware updates, questions, etc. As for the backup cam ... I am on generic ebay camera #2 after cam #1 lasted two days until my first rain and got filled with moisture (despite being advertised as 'waterproof'). Since I already cut a hole for the first one I wound up ordering the same thing again, but this time I took the liberty of dissassembling the unit and 'potting' it with a pure silicone to seal it entirely before installing it. It has now survived three days of heavy rain so hopefully this time it is good for the long haul. One thing I would note is that, for the wiring up to the front, I ran the wire along the passenger headliner and down the fornt A-pillar rather than going the under the carpet route. It works just as well and was a big time saver. You'll also want to install a relay for the reverse trigger because the reverse light wire is not a clean 12v. I will post some pics of everything in the coming days if anyone is interested. Last edited by tsawyer; 12-24-2012 at 12:14 AM. |

Let me know how those screen protectors go! I ordered the non-android one as I was reading mixed reviews.. but now I'm scared I'm gonna feel a bit of buyers remorse for not opting for the android unit.. haha oh well. I'll write review after I have it installed!
