Trans/Driveline Fluids Service

I have decided to do a trans fluid service on my new E53. Mostly as Preventative maint. /service being the new owner.
I usually like to swap out the fluids so I know when the last service date is.
Also It does have a sight whiplash effect when shifting into second from a rolling start on cold mornings and It's becoming annoying.

I know the subject has been covered many times but I just wanted to start a thread to document my adventure and have you guys look over my list of supplies ect.

Transmission Filter - Transmission filter kit Made by ZF OEM Part # 24 11 7 543 550
Transmission Pan Gasket - Transmission Pan gasket Part #24 11 7 543 484
Trans Fluid Type - ZF Lifeguard 6 ?
Qty Needed - ?
Transfer case Fluid Type - Transfer case fluid. Made By BMW. Part# 83 22 0 397 244
Qty Needed - ?
Transfer Case gasket needed?

Bav auto has the trans service kit with the filter, gasket and o ring for 80.00
I'm guessing I can get the separate parts number for a bit cheaper from Tischer or my local dealership with CCA Discount but I noticed Bav auto has the ZF Lifeguard 6 Fluid also so I might just grab it all from them.

So First Question

The ZF Lifeguard 6 is the correct OE fluid I have in my 06 4.4i With the 6 Speed Auto right?
This is what I should be using correct? is that the general consensus?
Next
How much will I need?

The Bav. Auto says 6Qts for my Trans.

Is this the correct amount assuming I will be only dropping the pan, cleaning off the magnets, swapping the filter and gasket and buttoning it back up and topping it off?
I won't be flushing out the torque converter, lines ect.

While I'm down there I figured swapping the Transfer Case fluid would be a good idea too.

How much does it take my buddy who is a Euro indy said 350ML or something slightly more. Is this correct?

I'm assuming I can order a qrt. of the OEM lifetime transfer case fluid from Bav. auto also P/N 83220397244

Will I need a gasket for the Transfer case fluid swap? P/N? R&R post?

TIA Guys.
