OBD Scanner........ help
So I bought something very similar to this 6 months ago......

USB-OBD-Diagnostic-cable-INPA-Ediabas-DIS-v57-SSS-v32

I haven't had any need to run diagnostics on the X as yet but feel that I will soon or indeed should anyway...

I have an old laptop which I can do whatever to so can it be done? Anyone done it or should I lash out and get one of those $1500 from the UK premade plug and play units.........
