You didn't happen to do any of these recently did you(see pic below)? Its a list of events that require the steering angle sensor to be re-calibrated.

If you can't recalibrate it then it probably needs replacement. I would still like to see those screenshots though.

Have you confirmed that SSS is running properly by using it to code/program anything yet?

I would think if you didn't touch the sensor then it should not be bad and you should be able to recalibrate it.

Well, I would confirm it by doing something simple like the key memory or the car memory options. Let me dig something up for you.

Here you go. Go to the first post, towards the bottom, on this thread.
http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...aptop-gt1.html

You should see this below. Try one of these two simple items to confirm SSS is fine. Just click on the link and it will go to the DIY.

DIY - Encoding:
Automatic Locking After Starting Off
Daytime Driving Light (DRL)

EDIT: Oops! I forgot you use SSS not DIS for programming.
Sorry about that. Anyways, you get the idea. You can do the same items in SSS. Those two should be simple to do in SSS I would think.

Ye this version of DIS is more simple then the SSS is more in depth when you connect to the car it automatically brings up all the modules that the car has i know 100% the programming works because i reprogrammed a cluster and the trip odometer went from 500 to 0.

Then I'm not sure why you are having problems with calibrating the steering angle sensor.

And you're sure you're not getting any faults with any of the wheel sensors?

Also, you mentioned a DSC fault. Do you have a screenshot of that exact fault? I ask because I had a fault in the DSC show up and, at first, I thought it was the module. However, upon further investigation it was a yaw sensor.

yes it first showed up a dsc fault after i deleted it and come under LWS when i did a test plan it was mentioning about terminal 30. Unfortunately i did not take any pictures this weekend hopefully i will take some and upload to keep you updated about the process and how i m doing it.

I think its looking for enough voltage at Terminal 30 or there isn't any voltage at Terminal 30.

Terminal 15 is the ignition and, IIRC in my version of DIS, if the battery is low it won't allow connection or encoding/programming.

I don't know what Terminal 30 refers to. Might want to research that.

Terminal 30 refers to the connection to the steering angle sensor (LWS) it says that sometimes the connection is bad and sometimes it says that WIPER BLADE 90 DEGREE DIFFERENCE i will try this weekend with some pictures to see what happens.
