I never got my SSS running (vmware version) and used with the DK (yellow) diagnostic head successfully. Supposedly "01 BMW_X5" was successful in getting it work though. Also, I think "rogerkiu" has SSS working but not sure if he uses the DK or the OPS head. You can also check this thread. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...aptop-gt1.html |

Yes, DIS v44 and lower has coding/programming functions. I use DIS v43. For v45 and later, you have to use SSS(progman?) to code/program. Okay, with the fault you should be able to run a test plan. Did your DIS v55/57? not have a test plan available? That doesn't sound right. EDIT: To clarify, my posting about SSS was to inform you that I've never been able to successfully use SSS. One person indicated they were able to run it AND use the yellow diagnostic head to communicate/(assume program too) with the X. Also indicated another member has the GT1 but I don't know if he is successful and even don't know which diagnostic head he uses with SSS. I'm interested in knowing if BOTH can work or if only one was designed to be used for SSS. I don't know the answer. Can you tell us what diagnostic head you use to connect to the X? Is it the yellow (DK), orange (OPS) or something else totally. Last edited by TwinsPoppa; 03-17-2013 at 09:07 PM. |

I am using and obd2 cable from ebay i bout it from an ebay seller for $30. It is one cable that work with everything the programs came preloaded no installation what so ever just straight up unpack and open. As you said test plan, i tried running it, i tried reprogramming the steering angle sensor with no luck, sometimes the error pops in in dsc sometimes in LWS. I just have 1 cable working for everything and everything works perfectly fine anyone needing help i can teamviewer and set up if necessary.

Well, if the steering angle sensor can't be recalibrated (which is what I assume you were trying to do) then its probably bad and needs replacement. What did the error say when you tried recalibrating? Are you replacing the steering angle sensor or recalibrating? Have you double-checked the wheel sensors? I assume the GT1 would have picked it up with the short test but can't hurt to check manually through the module functions. |

So, the error that keeps coming back when you delete. That's the error causing the 4x4 (DSC/xdrive) error? Can you take a pic of the DIS screen where you can see the fault. Also, a pic of the short test result where it shows the symptoms. I'll try and see what I can find in the control modules section even though mine is a different version of DIS. |
