Without more info. it's hard to offer any useful advice but there are many things that could cause the trans shifting to go bad once the trans is warm. Low fluid level, worn trans components, issues in the mechatronics, wiring, components and switches in the trans... the list goes on.

Only an extensive diagnosis, using BMW-specific diagnostic tools, is likely to help you figure this out.
