I actually used glass cleaner as a lubricant and had to use a small putty knife to "pry it" into the channel and so it locked in place, at first it was only kinda half way in there but once I went over the strip in the groove a couple times to wedge it in all the way, its perfect now. Shouldn't need any silicone, if you used some you might not have it in there all the way.
Ok good tht ws a bitc* to put in. Even tho i use wsher fluid to spry it just to slide and yes its snug fit in there huge diffefence. Btw

Be sure to inspect the SS brake lines every 6 months for fraying/cracking/seepage.

Those don't last NEARLY as long vs rubber lines.

Most track parts on street cars don't last.

You must have purchased either an inferior or defective part. You don't have enough torque to make that happen.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Exactly my thoughts. If OEM guibo you should have 2 year parts warranty from BMW, or perhaps the new one was torqued down incorrectly on install. What brand did you buy? You replaced both with new ones right?

You are still implying that your engine has enough torque to cause the failure?
