Thank you for the responses! I won't even touch the headlights, but a slight tint to the taillights I think would look awesome as long at the rest of the car is tinted. As far as the front grills go - is there anywhere I can buy the blacked out set? I'm familiar with the M3 parts, but I have no idea if anyone makes black out grills for X5s!

Finally, you guys basically all said that the wheels should be a dark shade if powdercoated..what shade are you referencing? And is there a car on here which could serve as an example?

First things first, Coding!
Code out the corner sidemarker lamps on the headlights and activate window close through key

Hey guys! I wanted to plastidip my wheels but I am a little lost on which shade I should do with. The SUV is black so I want whichever shade of plastidip would look best on a black car. If you guys could point me in the right direction that would be wonderful! Picture of my X5 can be seen in the original post.

welcome to the forum - nice ride, indeed... i used plastidip, just regular black... since the plastidip is not apermananet solution and is rather cheap, you can try all the shades that it comes in, from red to yellow to black... i consider the plastidip to be a protection bra for the wheels...

as far as mods go - the sky is the limit... get yourself a software along with the cable, to program the car... as pezho mentioned, one of the things is to code out the yellow corner lights, have windows roll up on remote, roll up/down with doors ajar, sync the car clock to GPS clock, get rear fog lights, remove the rails, or just keep them, black out the emblems on the hood, trunk, wheels, valve caps, steering wheel, engine cover, get rearview camera, black out side turn signal marker, de-badge, or black out the badges, get tow package... gee... the list is endless...

Heres some examples of mine, mods are, plastidipped wheels, grill (with chrome around it left intact), foglight "covers", roof rack delete, yellow foglight tint, nokya 2500k hyper yellow bulbs, and slammed.

And some "transformation" pics i made:

Hope those give you a good idea of what can be done, nice ride by the way.
