Remember that I said that I am 99.9% sure it is the fuel pump, to verify that it is 100.00% the pump, you will need to verify that you have power at the connector to the pump. When you remove the access cover to the top of the gas tank, disconnect the electrical connector and test it for 12 volt power when the key is turn to the start position. If you have power at the connector then it is a problem with the fuel pump and nothing else.

Power was about 2.5 volts with the switch on. I was reading that the voltage should fluctuate or change when the vehicle is running, or when you crank the vehicle.

I have to ask, would the pump going out be causing the issues I have been having?

Let see, bad pump could mean less fuel so that would mean a lean running engine which would be a P0171 and P0174 code. A bad pump could mean no fuel pressure so the engine can't run.

Well I am getting a pump today in about an hour. I'll fill you guys in.

After installing the new pump and before replacing the access cover and rear seat have someone cycle the key to see if the pump is priming the fuel rail. Also don't forget to tighten that shraeder valve.

I am going to go find a bicycle valve stem tightener. I will install and see if it primes. Sitting here waiting to pick up my part as we speak.
