I wouldn't change the bag yet since the problem is random. If the pump was acting up seems to me it would not be restricted to the passenger side air bag. If there was a hole in the bag the bag would deflate with the suspension fully extended--since it happens with the engine running I would also have it running with that test.
Just because it is easy to do, I would remove the sensor connections and see if they are corroded and reinstall them, I would also remove the sensor link and see if the sensor arm has any play in it.
