Looking good bigmixxx. I like the running board on it.

Which makes the "Tit Silver" more rare
(that's not the reality though)

To the nay-sayers (you know who you are) the new owners didn't start the thread asking for owner experience. They simply just want to introduce themselves and show off their new ride. A simple "welcome" will suffice. If the potential owner comes asking for experience and advices before purchasing the SAV, please share both good and bad experience. What good does it (your bad experience with the SAV) make if he/she already bought the SAV? You think they will run out and put a "For Sale" sign on it? What you do just scare them off and make them feel bad about their purchasing, which takes away the enjoyment of the new ride. You think you're helpful but you're not, IMHO.

I'd rather know the weak points as early as possible (if that's what you call negative nancy, clown, crappy outlook) so be it.

You and I have all the good and bad experiences why can't we share that to the new owners?

I am not offended by any means. Just like you said we are all BMW owners, just different outlook and opinion which is good for true collaboration (This is a free forum right?) I encourage freedom of speech( positive or negative stuff ) like good cop and bad cop

Let see if you keep the X for two or more years or be posting that you got rid of the X after investing so much money into the money pit.

I can't think of any reason I would use a single post of a 4.8 owner that I have no idea if it is even true let alone know how the X was driven, taken care of, the environment, if it was wrecked, etc. Even if forum members that actually own a 4.8 agreed with my post I would really be reaching to use a sample of one as validation of my opinion.

Once again, I think posts of this nature are inappropriate 'welcomes' to new owners.

While everyone has the right to their opinion there is always a time and place where I should keep it to myself. As an example, if I meet a new employee is it OK with you If I say---nice to meet you. Welcome! Just so know, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but this place sucks, get used to bending over. No one has ever lasted more than 6 weeks in your job, Congratulations, look forward to working with you.

I look at it this way. I had a 97 rover. The first month was good. Then the front air bags. Then the rear, then the ac, then the blower motor. Then couldn't find new GEMS parts. Then had to find reconditioned. The worst experience ever In a vehicle.
