Aftermarket all-in-one nav/dvd/bluetooth unit

Has anyone on the forum tried this unit? I have dug into the bluetooth mess with my Jan 2004 build and it looks like it'll be a journey. This unit has a lot more features than my standard CD/radio unit and includes the phone bluetooth. Let me know if you have installed and had success.

I don't know about that one but it resembles or even perhaps a clone of Dynavin which has decent reviews and has a USA distributor and support. It's pricy though and will set you back $600+. I'm actually saving up to buy Dynavin for my '05 X5 which has outdated cassette player with navigation and cd player at the trunk. The car has DSP so will not be a simple plug and play.

A much cheaper option is the Eonon which I have on my e39 but also fits E53. It's around $370. It's not fantastic or great as the Dynavin in terms of quality and support but just OK for the price, quality and looks (very OEM looking). I believe there're folks here who have it installed on the X5.

I do like that dynavin look. I don't have dsp, so it's as easy as it gets for me.

You can read up on others experiences with it up on bimmerforums. It appears Dynavin is considered the best of all the after-market OEM looking head units out there. My eonon is nothing to scoff at but it's simply not at par with Dynavin in terms of quality.

It looks like a better one than Dynavin is the AVIN. Check the specs here and see the review on e46 forums.
The AVANT is better than the Dynavin, he newer AVANt2 is even much 'betterer'

They don't have it yet for e39 and e53 but it might be worth waiting for it...

Wow both the Dynavin and the Avin look pretty serious. Not to mention they cost just as much as a decent Double DIN unit by Pioneer, Alpine, or the like but this one looks OEM. One thing I am interested to see is how one of these systems works in conjunction with the OEM OBC. I know they both mentioned OBC functionality but does the button on the indicator stalk become useless after installing it or can you still program and use it like before.

I've always had the pioneer gps double din but I'm done spending 800-1000 on one now

I like that Avant-2 that fmugur posted above. Might be worth the wait, I agree. I have many other to-do's on this X, before I start down this path.

From what I've seen, none of them deal with the OBC and people mount them in the glove box to retain the functions. Mine doesn't have it (I wish it did as my other car has it) so it's an easy call for me. Plus, with unlocking the OBC, I can get to the same data - just not as nicely
