This. Besides a possible clutch (although if you drive properly you should be able to get an easy 150k or more out of stock clutch), the trans is pretty solid, and much easier if repairs are needed than a ZF auto.

Yes but you'd have to locate me a facelifted 6 speed manual, not black or silver, with Sport Package, with under 90k miles, and give me time to swap my mods over to said replacement.

I won't part with my stick shift willingly lol!

Here is a little info about the one i am looking at.
2001 X5 4.4l
Completely replaced air ride in 2012
New alternator this year.
All CV joints replaced
New rear window regulators.
The owner had everything serviced regularly at a dealership, or another reputable indy shop. Synthetic fluids, premium fuel, garage kept.
3 ring binder of all service records.
New Tires.

It has Sport Package, and has been on sale for a while, probably because its green. Nothing wrong with the color in my opinion, its just not popular.

Go check it out. You might be able to snag for 7k, looks nice!
