Happens to me about once a week! Just from my keys being in my pocket.

yeah, but if your keys are in your pocket, how are you driving at the same time?

Not while driving. Just from being within FOB radio proximity to the vehicle while the keys are in my pocket. The button gets pressed somehow. I blame my enormous penis for this. It also likes to hit the alarm/panic button for my Honda CRV.

Ghost ride that whip!

Never happened to me, but I'd be more worried about flipping it up and hitting something overhead in a garage - or being reverse parked too close to a wall etc. Personally I am mindful of things like that, my missus however.......

I do have a set of these springs that I ordered from the guy in.......uh Romania / Latvia / Bulgaria - somewhere in Europe. Anyway I'll likely not be using them due to the habits of my trunk. so if someone would like them PM me.

Here a picture of the springs installed.
Next time I have to buy trunk lid gas shocks I feel I will buy these tiny springs too. Its such a nice feature. May run them on my 8 as well. That's a heavy boot lid

I do it ALL the time with my key in my pocket. I have nothing else in my pocket and my BMW key has a keychain with only 2 keys on it. I dont know how it happens but i do it at least 4 times a week.
